REVIEW: Love You Now By M. Robinson

REVIEW: Love You Now By M. Robinson

I should have told her everything.

How much I loved her.
How much I’ve always loved her.
But I didn’t.
I couldn’t.
I just wasn’t made that way.

Instead… I claimed her.
Teased her.
Taunted her.
Worshipped her.
Until… I broke her.

My best friend.
My savior.
My girl.

From my mind to my heart, to every single bone in my body.
She owned me.
I was hers.

Every look.
Every kiss.
Every touch.
Every tear.

It was always her.

The only thing I feared more than losing her was forgetting her.
I hated how much I needed her.

She was mine.
Always and forever.

I hated her then.

But Harley Jameson was about to find out how much…

I LOVED her now.

If I thought I had a book hangover from “Hate You Then” the first book in this Duet, it was nothing to the feels and emotions I felt in this one. The first book was setting the tone for the anguish and what is really going on in this part of Jackson and Harleys journey, and it makes me love them even more on so many different levels.

I love how there is so much more depth in this story and the twist and turns keep coming and they do make it an amazing read.

There is so much I want to talk about, but if I do I feel I will give away everything and anything…. Uhg!

I Will say that I love how this details how past mistakes from childhood can come back and rear their ugly head. It also shows really how people do grow up and change, priorities are different as you grow and you really see what is important in life.

I love this book, and I love that it is true love, soul mates and just an amazing Story for everyone to read!

REVIEW: Strip For Me By Georgia Coffman

REVIEW: Strip For Me By Georgia Coffman

A story that starts with “Once upon a time in Vegas…” isn’t supposed to end with “happily ever after.”

I know this better than anyone, and I can’t let history repeat itself. This is why I have rules, and at the top of that list is no fraternizing with audience members after shows. But my rules mean nothing after my instant connection with Kendall. Her southern accent suggests a certain charm, but her sharp tongue says otherwise. Which is why I can’t help myself—she’s a mystery I need to solve. The more I get to know her, the more I start to believe she could be the one.

Until my past comes barreling in and makes me wonder if my one night with Kendall was real or all a cruel game.

Although I live in LA, my conventional family loves to remind me of my small-town upbringing. They’ve never approved of my life choices—dropping out of college, moving across the country, and dating around, to name a few. Getting involved with Sebastian will be yet another decision they disapprove of—how much more of their disappointment can I take?

After all, he’s a stripper for Vegas’s hottest male revue show. He can’t be my forever.

The odds are against us, but then again, anything can happen in a story that starts with “Once upon a time in Vegas…”

*Strip for Me is Book 1 in the Naked Heat series. Each book is a standalone contemporary romance.

This book was sweet, Sassy and sexy.

I saw the synopsis and was on the fence about it, because I have my certain kind of books and authors I stick close to. Like Sports, mainly Hockey, Baseball and Football, then My MC books, and then the single parent books. This is was one that I stepped out of the norm for me and I was not disappointed in the least.

I love how strong Kendall is, but when things are provent that they are not as she sees them, she kind of falls apart in a way that I see as weak and childish. She has a lot of self confidence issues that play into that at the same time I believe and what she finds with Sebastien helps her open up in the way that she needs to.

Sebastien has a few self confidence issues as well although they are not as obvious as Kendalls and they are deeper down. I think that is why I loved this book a lot, it helps you see the beauty in everything including yourself.

I do recommend this book to anyone and every one struggling a bit, there are people who believe in you.

Plus the sexy times are pretty steamy.

REVIEW: Falling For My Brothers Best Friend By Piper Rayne

REVIEW: Falling For My Brothers Best Friend By Piper Rayne

Let’s say you’re an independent, self-sufficient woman who runs the family company and you find yourself falling for your little brother’s best friend. Now, more than ever, you need to count all the reasons why you need to abandon falling.

Abandon Falling #1 – He’s a womanizer. Hasn’t had a serious relationship a day in his life and changes women more often than he changes his sheets.

Abandon Falling #2 – He’s never serious. He cracks one-liners, mostly at your expense.

Abandon Falling #3 – When things go wrong, he seems unfazed and always remains in control. It’s so annoying.

Abandon Falling #4 – He has tattoos. Lots of them. Everywhere. Not to mention, he owns a tattoo parlor. (Damn it! Why doesn’t that sound like a bad thing anymore?)

Abandon Falling #5 – There’s a growing list of how different you two are. You can’t get along for fifteen minutes—a lifetime together would land one of you in prison.

Keep repeating those reasons and drown yourself in work. Pretend you don’t notice his good qualities or how enticing he looks without a shirt, and do not, I repeat, do not agree to live with the man while your place is being repaired from flood damage.

Trust me, even the strongest of us can only forego temptation for so long.

The long wait is over! After month of speculation and hopes of what will go down with Savannah and Liam I was not left disappointed!

Liam has this kind heart that really isn’t hidden under anything, he actually wears it out on his sleeve when it comes to Savannah, who saw him as her younger twin brothers partner in crime. But as they all grew up her attraction grew to him. But seeing herself as the matriarch of the Bailey children, the one who needed to be responsible and a positive, strong female role model for her younger sisters as well as the other young women of Lake Starlight, she forgot how to be anything but that. She forgot to take care of herself and let herself relax and have moments to remember who she was.

But Liam was watching this, and was not boustrious about this fact about her but he wasn’t exactly silent about it either. He was determined to prove that he was not the trouble making friend of Savannahs younger brothers, that he was a strong man, who was worth her time. While doing that he built up this air of self confidence that masked a softer side that worried about what others thought, about him, his art and his life’s choices.

With Savannah, he let those walls come down, but will she let hers come down as well?, Well you will have to read the book to find out!!!

This was a book worth the wait in so many ways! I highly recommend it!
It is my first 5 STAR Review of October!!

REVIEW: Neutral Grounds By Jiffy Kate

REVIEW: Neutral Grounds By Jiffy Kate

First comes marriage, then comes…love? Divorce? Let’s pretend this never happened …

They say opposites attract and that couldn’t be truer when it comes to CeCe and Shep. But what happens when the two most anti-marriage people in the French Quarter start enjoying the act?

I never planned on getting married. After my dad deserted my family the day before my tenth birthday, and I watched my mother fall to pieces over him, I decided it wasn’t worth the heartache. Then Shepard Rhys-Jones, who ghosted me two years ago, declares he needs to marry someone to claim his inheritance, and I drunkenly offer myself up as his wife.

He was the best I’ve ever had and now, he’s all mine… but only for the next year.

I never planned on getting married. It was one business transaction I had no desire to close. Yet, here I am… sitting in a bar in New Orleans… seriously considering making CeCe Calhoun my wife. If we can manage to stay married for a year, I’ll be one hundred million dollars richer and finally have the freedom to forge my own path, separate from the Rhys-Jones name.

She’s the only woman I’ve struggled to forget, and she’s finally mine. For now.

Is it possible for this fake marriage to be real?

Shep was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and the world at his feet. Cece has had to work hard for everything and anything in her life. Yet they both have such a skewed vision on weddings and marriage. They are very much the opposites in every social sense, but emotionally they were on the same level, and they didn’t even know it.

I love how they are together and how this plan was hatched, it was a bit harder for me to really get into it but only because I have been reading a lot of instant love books and this was a slow burn that took its time for the emotions to catch up to the physical. And there is a lot of physical there that leave you semi fanning your face, (Not Safe To Read At Work! LOL)

They have a great mutual friend group that adds so much to their story without taking away from it. I did feel that the book itself was slow to start, mainly on the emotional level, and it was dragged out longer than needed in certain aspects but skipped over others that didn’t really get an answer. Then it also felt very rushed out at the end, and even the epilogue didn’t really wrap up many of the unanswered questions I had… Not that they were really important, but it felt a little un finished.

I still recommend this book

REVIEW: Just Roommates By Charity Ferrell

REVIEW: Just Roommates By Charity Ferrell

Our relationship starts as a game.
I sneak into his bar underage.
He kicks me out.

Maliki Bridges is the town’s hottest bar owner.
He thinks I’m the mayor’s troublesome daughter.
I think he has a stick up his a**.

Once I turn twenty-one, we become friends.
Nothing more …

Until my world is turned upside down, and he offers me his guest bedroom.
It’s a bad idea, moving in with him, but any opportunity I get to be around him I’ll take.
Consequences be damned.

Becoming roommates is the riskiest game we’ve ever played.

Sierra is one of my top favorite Female leads, but some of her thought processes annoy me to no end. Maliki is the strong stoic brooding type that is my weakness!!

This is my very first Charity Ferrell book, that’s right I just jumped in the middle of a series! It is how I roll these days it seems.

The banter between Maliki and Sierra is amazing and comical! How they became to be friends is a unique story that really does reflect on how their relationship and friendship runs its course. This slow Burn frenemies to Lovers is just to sweet to not share to everyone out there.

REVIEW: Single In Sitka By Katy Regnery

REVIEW: Single In Sitka By Katy Regnery

From New York Times Bestselling Author Katy Regnery comes a sexy new series!

When Seattle journalist, Amanda, heads north to Sitka to research a story, she answers the Odds Are Good personal ad of single dad, Luke, hoping for some no-strings-attached fun. But could the sweet, widowered father of three—who just happens to be a smokin’ hot state trooper—turn out to be the man of her dreams?

This was a sweet and soft Romance, one with real organic chemistry that leaped off the page.

Luke needed help and he he didn’t even know it. Amanda thought she was broken, but she wasn’t. Then they are thrown together in a short but sweet meeting that twists and turns into something they didn’t know that they needed.

Luke is the strong stoic type, and since tragedy struck his family his life was more about them than himself. He was a single father of 3 over night, he didn’t focus on his grief, and just managed as best he could.

Amanda is thrust into a project, after dealing with personal heartbreak that doesn’t really feel like heartbreak should. She is watching all those around her move forward with their lives and create their own families, but where is she in that?

Her chance meeting with Luke shows her what she is missing, and shows Luke that there is always another chance at love.

I recommend this book for those with a soft heart, those who love the single parent books, and the slow burn but instant love. Sweet but sassy kids and a little bit of hero worship.

REVIEW: Caught In The Lies By Kacey Shea

REVIEW: Caught In The Lies By Kacey Shea

Fire captain Cameron McClain dropped into my life with as much subtlety as an unsolicited d*ck pic. I shouldn’t be attracted to him, but I am. He’s too old for me, too alpha for my tastes, and too bossy in the bedroom. Though, I have to admit he knows exactly how to use his . . . firehose.

I’m not interested in a forever kind of relationship, but he’s down for whatever I’m willing to give. Our arrangement is perfect. At least that’s how it begins. I never wanted the happily ever after, but he’s just so tempting.

The smart choice would be to end things before they combust, but for some reason I can’t push Cam away. The harder I try, the harder he—well, you get the picture.

I wish things were different. I want to be someone worthy of his devotion. But the secrets I hold close, they don’t just eat me up inside, they destroy anyone who gets too close.

So, I won’t fall in love. Simple, right?

Wrong. So freaking wrong. I don’t just fall. I crash and burn for this man. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Turns out I’m not the only one telling lies and keeping secrets, and his are enough to rip us apart forever.

** I was Given an ARC in exchange for my honest review. **

I found this one a bit harder to read and get into, Jills reasoning for a lot of different things regarding their relationship were stretching and just hard for me to wrap my head around.

She is a damaged person, but the guilt she has pushed upon herself to lead the distant lifestyle doesn’t seem as warranted from an outside view. Cam is a patient man, who is willing to work with what she wants because just being with Jill makes him happy, or so he thinks.

I wanted to love this book with everything, but I had such a hard time with Jill as a character, and her stubbornness and the long harbouring guilt that didn’t make sense to me and why she kept certain aspects of it such a secret from not only Cam, but her friends who are as close as sisters.

The title of the book is very true, because while I was getting upset with Jill and her lies and secrets, Cam comes out of the gate with a large secret that I understand but don’t all at the same time.

This is a sweet and different love story, if you life Hot firefighters, a few low level twists and are ok with bigger age gaps I do recommend this book to you.

REVIEW: Mister Baby Maker By Kylie King

REVIEW: Mister Baby Maker By Kylie King

Vivian Carter has the perfect life. She’s a powerful CEO, has a great apartment in New York City, and never has a bad hair day. She’s a single woman in a big city living her dreams, but there is just one thing she wants that will make her life complete… A baby.

Jax Lemoine has been attracted to Vivian ever since he laid eyes on her in his apartment building.

He knows she’s attracted to him just as much, so when he gets the chance to make her his, he takes it, but there is a catch: He has to agree to make a baby with her.

All he has to do is knock Vivian up and she’ll never ask for anything again. No strings attached and no commitments.

Jax believes he can handle the agreement, until he realizes that what he feels for Vivian is much deeper than he ever expected.

This was a sweet, sexy and short little romance. It packed enough punch in its short but detailed pages. Jax is confident and sweet, and can melt the panties off anyone he meets. Vivian is quiet but self assured, who has some scars that made her gun shy when it comes to men.

I do like it because its a nice and steamy read in one sitting kind of book, but that is also why I don’t care for it. The Bones of this book are amazing, but some parts seemed a bit far fetched and unbelievable. But really with a small sweet steamy book like this, reality is not top priority.

I like how it does come full cycle, and there is the main levels in a book, the beginning, the conflict and the resolution.

It is a great sweet mindless read, a relaxing read for the soak in the tub and a break from the family and kids with a big glass of wine.

REVIEW: The Boyfriend Contract By Victoria James

REVIEW: The Boyfriend Contract By Victoria James

Emily Birmingham has had it up to here with men.

Growing up with an overbearing father and then her brother inherits everything she’s worked her whole life to build. Now she’s living in her grandmother’s dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere Canada, jobless, and dealing with the most annoyingly sexy contractor on the planet. Exactly when did her life become an anti-Hallmark movie?

Cooper Merrick learned the hard way that love is definitely not worth the risk. He’s happy running the family contracting business alongside his well-meaning but overly-opinionated brothers…happy enough until polished and perfect Emily enters his world. Nothing prepared him for the ways she turns his life upside down and reaches the parts of himself he’s closed off from the world.

But when he finally gets up the nerve to ask Emily out, she says her next date will need to come with a written contract and some very particular ground rules. Yeah, it sounds crazy, but why does he find himself wanting to sign on the dotted line?

** I was given the ARC in exchange for my Honest Review **

This is a sweet and soft romance, a man who thought he was ok with his life after tragedy, he had his family, his work and his small town. A Woman who felt she was alone in the world, with only a house she was left in her late grandmothers will.

It is a growing romance, as well as a lot of personal growth on both parts. This is a great book about showing there is life after death for the family left behind. It was very cliche in more than one way, with the single lady falling for the Hot sexy contractor working on her house, helping her realize her dreams.
But there was more to this story, and there was more underneath the bones of this story that really tugged at my heart strings. I respect how this brought awareness to an issue that not many people know or see.
