Frankie Sullivan was everything I wasn’t.
She was good, beautiful and strong.
She hadn’t let her past break her.
She’d held on to the hope for a better tomorrow, not only for herself but for her two boys.
She was a woman who wanted…who deserved more.
I wasn’t a man who could give more.
I was cold, broken and full of rage.
My past had broken me.
I never allowed anyone get too close.
I’d tried to fight the pull I felt towards her.
But all the little things—her smile, her light, the feel of her skin on mine—drew me in.
It was all the little things that would become my undoing.

I have a great soft spot for Single mom, MC bad boys who don’t think they need anyone permanently in their loves and teenagers who think they know everything.
There is so much going on in this book that makes you want to keep going. I have not been dissapointed in any book by Mz. Wilder and I don’t think I would ever be at this point.
Widow, has gone through so much trauma when he was younger and it ended with him not getting the closure he really needed to move on and carries that anger around in his day to day life. Then a chance meeting sucks into feelings he didnt want to look into.
Frankie is a strong single mom who took every last bit of her strength and walked out with her boys to get everyone to safety. An Ex who always threatens to hit her and kill her more and more.
Frankie and her boys bring Widow into their world and help him get the closure he didn’t know he needed. In return he gives them the security that they didn’t know they needed.
I like when the Hero and his leading lady have similar issues but they have different ways to work through it.
I do reccomend this book and this series!
