Over the years I’d been with my share of women. Hell, I’d had more than I could count, but for one reason or another, it never seemed to last. I’d told myself that I just hadn’t found the one, and I was okay with that. I had the club, and with my brothers at my side, I had everything I needed—or so I thought.
Alyssa was young, smoking hot, and had the world at her fingertips. I knew better than to even give her a second look. I was too old, lived a life that wasn’t suited for a woman like her, and as if that wasn’t enough, she was Hyde’s younger sister.
I told myself we were just friends, but in a heated moment, we crossed a line—a line I knew should’ve never been crossed. I knew then that one night would never be enough. There’d be consequences, but I honestly didn’t care.
It wasn’t until I lost her that I realized that it wasn’t about finding the one. It was about being the one. If she’d give me the chance, I’d be that for her and more—even if it meant giving up everything to have her.

I am addicted to Satan’s Fury men! They are all rough and tumble and they still melt your heart.
Ms. Wilder did it again for me! She found that happy balance between sap and MC shit going down and getting felt with the right way!
Also ironically the small plot twists that pop up make me happy as it falls into tropes I am currently obsessed with! But I won’t spoil that because it’s a fun surprise for you all.
I love T-Bone and just how he really is a soft hearted guy and really does show when something good falls in your lap no matter what you take it and make it… I mean her happy. It’s a slight complicated twist on the brothers best friend trope as well as older man younger woman without the typical daddy complex most seem to have, but not all.
I love how Alyssa is a strong lead and she makes lemonade out of lemons and shows everyone what she is made of. She is a sweet go with the flow kind of person once she opens herself up to those around her. I love how past traumas while prevalent do not stop her from living her life.
The natural growth of their relationship is a true friends to lovers, the attraction is noted at the start but they build it all on a foundation of trust respect and attractiveness!
I do recommend this book as I do any and all books by the lovely Leslie Wilder!!
