SYNOPSIS

As one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, I can catch anything…anyone.
Except her—the coach’s daughter.

Savannah Goodman is the one woman in the world I’m forbidden to touch,
and the only one I can’t stop thinking about.
She’s fiery, funny, and sexy as sin.
We can’t be in the same room without fighting,
but her quick wit only brings me back for more.

Then she comes to me with an offer straight out of a fantasy—
She wants me to take her V-card before she graduates college.
No strings attached.
No hearts involved.
No one finds out—especially Coach.

My contract is at risk and so is her job,
But we can’t deny the explosive, addictive chemistry between us.
Once isn’t enough—it’s never enough,
and the more time we spend together only increases our chance of getting caught.

But we can’t draw the line when we’ve already crossed it,
And now it’s not just my spot on the Raptors I’m fighting for—it’s her.

MY REVIEW

* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCED READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *

This was the shorter series she has done but the character connection made and shown are amazing. It shows that Samatha really has created her own little world.

I have wanted to see how Savannah and Hendrix’s story would pan out. It is similar to Blocker in the Seattle sharks series, but it is its own story and shows another level to a father’s love. How she approached him, how she knew him, and the team for years before she decided her course of action. There is a skivvy ex in this storyline as well, but he is not the problem, its lack of communication, and trust that is causing that issues.

Hendrix feels the attraction and has to fight it because of his job and those that rely on him, not just his team but his family. He has kept it all under wraps but when she presents him with a proposal, that no matter what he tries he cannot say no.

Savannah trusts him, that’s why it’s important Hendrix be the one that helps her here, but just a taste is not enough. The years of trust change in a moment, and then the secrets snowball until things really do change.

I love the way this book shows how her Sports worlds are really interconnected, and the breadcrumbs dropped for future stories in the Carolina Reapers world, as we as another series or stand-alone that may be showing up in the near future!

I highly recommend this book, really any book by Samantha Whiskey.
