** I WAS GIVEN AND ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **
I was very much on the fence for this one after reading Savannah and Liam’s Story, I was very much against Denver and thought he was going to be the strangest and hardest story to get into, from where he was during Rome’s time to shine as well as Liams….
Glad to say that he has cracked the top 5 of my book boyfriends.. which seems to consist of A LOT of Piper Rayne Characters (#1 Garrett Single Dads Club, #2 Dom White Collar Cousins, #3 Jamie Outlander, #4 Tacker Arizona Vengeance, and #5 Denver #5 Baileys.)
I liked this book for so many reasons, you got to see more in the past couples and some parts make you feel so many feelings! I was sucked in right away, even though I went into this VERY apprehensive.
I love how they give you more insight into why Denver is they way he has always been, how big his heart truly is, and how he is kind of a big kid at heart still. I honestly love who is, and what brought him to how he is to this point, because it shows how much of a great person he is, and how the inner workings of his brain… well work.
I love that you also (FINALLY) get a bit more information on Kingston, as he seems to always be away playing firefighter hero. Now he has moved to the one that I am not sure if I am on pins and needles to learn more… or ya know… have another Denver Situation… BUT this isn’t about him…
I do recommend this book, even if you were like and a bit skeptical due to the picture that was painted before in previous books. You Will not be dissapointed!!
I’m famous for two things—being one of the best defensemen in the NHL and my classic pranks. My teammates always said one of my jokes would bite me in my Scottish arse one day, and they were right. After a prank goes wrong, I’m sentenced to six weeks community service under none other than the sexy, rule-abiding, smart-mouthed city clerk of Sweet Water—Annabelle Clarke.
Lucky for me it’s offseason. Unlucky for me? I want Annabelle like I want my next breath. She’s smart, luscious, and wound-tighter than a Scottish drum. Och, I’d love to be the one to help loosen her strings.
She’s made it clear that while I’m under her employment, she won’t be under me. The white-hot chemistry we can’t deny must be ignored at all costs. But bantering with her is soon my favorite pastime And she’s the sweetest forbidden fruit I’ve ever tasted
As we grow closer, one thing is absolutely clear A summer with Annabelle Clarke can only end one of two ways: Satisfaction or surrender. And I can only hope we can weather the storm when the sky inevitably crashes down on us.
** I WAS GIVEN AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **
This series has been full of swoon worthy men who want nothing more to make their special ladies makes me love hockey more and the men on the Reapers.
Connell has had my interest peaked for since Axel, mainly because personally how many people from Scotland come over to play hockey and get in the NHL. Don’t jump all over me, I may have this love of hockey and a few teams but it is not my obsessive love, I know my teams and my player, that’s about it. ( Woot Got Oilers! ) I also love his joking nature, that to me shows he has a kind, playful heart which is shown here and his relationship with Annabelle, prior to it becoming a romantic relationship.
I love Annabelle because she is real on many levels, she is a fuller woman, and to me as bigger fuller woman, that is great to see in a book, and get the hot hockey player! She is also so confident, even though she shows some small bouts of self doubt. That shows she is normal and a great and relatable character.
Connell and Annabelle are sweet and honestly a dream couple, he is the best for her, the soft and funny to her hard and serious.
This whole series so far have the best Book Boyfriends that I am ready to steal.

** I WAS GIVEN AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **
I am nothing, if not honest, and I was not sure I was going to like this one because when I started it, it seemed almost taboo. Step Siblings dating, the idea didn’t appeal to me in the slightest, but I have a slight, if not almost severe, Love for Hockey romance books. So I gave it a chance, and I was not let down in the slightest!
Nils is a broken man, let down by not only his abusive and terrible father, and an absent mother, when she was there and more so when she left him alone. Then when he is sent for to come to the USA to be with his mother, he cannot let go of that hurt. Her new family puts something new on him, a step sister, and one who has her own issues brought on by her own absent mother and over bearing father.
They are forced into an almost impossible situation of faking a relationship to help her, but it only did more damage. Fast forward a few years they are is different places, but still broken below the surface. They have not spoken for years, and they are forced back into the same impossible situation. But will there be changes?
I loved the sweet underlay and growth that is portrait in this book, on both parts, it is sweet to see a friend dynamic that supports both sides. As well as coming to terms with feelings and how friendships change and evolve into more.

A future prince walks into her diner, pretending to be a pauper. Will one kiss cause all her dreams to come true?
Imagine for a moment being dumped by your boyfriend via paper airplane that hits you in the face. And, only minutes later, discover you’re being fired from a job you’ve had for years.
Sounds terrible, right? That’s my day, and it’s only Tuesday. Most of my life has been crappy like that but I refuse to let it get me down.
Hi, I’m Grace and I plan on following my dream no matter what gets in my way. What’s my dream? I think it’s opening an 80’s themed diner. That’s what my good friend told me since I love all things 80’s and diner food. It makes sense so why not?
The only obstacle I’ve come across is tall, with dark hair, an accent that will warm your, uh, heart, and desperate for a job at my diner.
I really wish I didn’t have to fire him.
I will level with you. I’m not who Grace thinks. She sees me as a cool, down-to-earth guy that is humble, caring, and one of the best employees at her diner. She also thinks my name is Nico Aster. I may have stretched the truth by a lot.
My formal title is Nicolas Aster Rowley Chillingham, current Duke of Ironlea and future Prince of Northern Cambria. After the holiday ceremonies and come the new year, I will officially be crowned Prince of Cambria. I’m desperate to get out of becoming a prince so I devise a plan to pretend to be an average guy looking for a job at a diner.
No one in Cambria will find me in the tiny restaurant in Chicago. I plan on returning to my home one day but when I’m ready. The only problem is the owner. The more times I spend getting to know her, the more I wonder if I ever want to go back.
** I RECEIVED AND ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **
I was a bit skeptical that I would understand this book as it is book 5 in a series, and I will admit there was some parts that I didn’t really understand, but powered through for this fast track full of heart romance.
Have you ever been so sure of you path in life? Me neither and I have made career changes because I wanted and because I had too, I thought I had met the love of my life three different times but was only right once. This story is awesome because it starts with 2 different people on both sides of the world have come to cross roads, but unlike us they have more resources than we do to make the changed that are needed at that time.
Grace decides to embrace who she really is, and Nico decides to try and hide from himself, his family and the world. It is a sweet amazing fast pace romance that I love, and its a nice and awesome mom read, meaning you can read and cook, deal with kids (or husbands) and not get lost. You can follow it and fall in love with Nico and how he does try to what is best for Grace as much as he can.
The Feelings are there and you do feel the love the dilemmas as well as the other big feelings that come your way in this book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves cheesy 80’s movie references, fast pace romance and a real life Cinderella story. The steamy scenes are well worth the read as well.
One night to forget she’s a cop. To let her hair down. To finally have some fun.
The sexy stranger she meets in Vegas? Yeah, he delivers. Multiple times.
With no regrets she walks away, never believing she will see him again until she gets an unexpected surprise.
Finding out the father of her child is the irresistible bad-boy billionaire Joshua Hastings, the last thing Jesse wants is to play happy families.
Too bad Joshua is a man used to getting his way and he’s determined to make her his, and Jesse, well, she doesn’t know how long she’ll be able to resist…
HOLDING OUT FOR HOPE is a steamy, surprise pregnancy, billionaire romance. It is the third book in the Holding Out series and can be read as a standalone.
** I WAS GIVEN AND ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **
Book three and I am in love with this series and this amazingly sweet author.
I love this leading lady as she is a strong independent woman, who does have a supportive, while overbearing, support system when she finds out that a one night stand with nameless stranger turns into a lifelong commitment. The question she couldn’t answer was who was the amazing man who made her come apart at the seems more than once.
Little did she know he was closer than they both thought, as he found her by accident, but he hadn’t stopped thinking about her, for different reasons. When he finds out he is going to be a father, you think he would flip out and think that he wasn’t ready for this, as is normal fashion. But this story is flipped yet again when he is all for this and wants to be a family, he wants her and their child to be with him at all times. But she is the one who wants to just be friends and co parent, which honestly makes this story even more awesome and great to read.
It is a great story where the love of the child is never called into question, and its has refreshing takes on the family dynamic with a strong leading lady, and everyone’s dream man!

I met my little pixie in a coffee house and we hit it off right
away. That is, until she saw me shoot someone. But in my defense, they were
coming to rob the coffee shop. Who does that? Now, I’ll do anything to get her
back and make her realize that she’s mine. Kidnapping? I’m not too good for
that. Getting shot? Play up the sympathy card. Marry her? You’re damn straight
I will. Lay down my life for her? In a heartbeat. I would do anything for this
woman and I will make her mine.
It was one non date. We had coffee together. After we bumped into
each other. It was more of a meet-cute than anything. It was fun until I
realized how very naive I was. I mean, the man said that he had a gun on him
and I laughed it off like an idiot. Who actually carries around a gun with
them. Apparently, everyone from Reed Security. But I didn’t see that, and now I
have a stalker. Not just any stalker though. This man takes everything to the
extreme. But I can survive him. I will survive him. And when all is said and
done, I’ll go back to my life and the boring men I date. Right?
I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite
titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio
Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on
ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I
could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband
responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a
book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand
other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge
seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how
much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t
been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing
them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days
are quite full.
I ran to catch up to her outside the school she taught at. I had
Becky run a background check on her so I could find out where she lived and
worked. I figured it would be a little creepy to show up at her house, but work
was good. There were other people around and she would feel safe.
I took in every inch of her as she turned toward me. She was
short, maybe 5’ 3”, but she was so damn beautiful. She was curvy and had blonde
hair in one of those pixie haircuts. It looked damn good on her too.
She turned and her eyes widened. She looked around quickly, so I
followed her gaze, thinking she saw something suspicious. “What’s wrong? Is
someone after you?”
“No,” she said incredulously. “Why would you assume that?”
“Because you were looking around, like there was danger or
“Yeah, you’re the danger! Why are you here?”
“Because I wanted to talk to you. I feel like we got off on the
wrong foot in the coffee shop and you’ve been ignoring my calls-”
“Because I didn’t give you my number.”
“Well, I didn’t get it on our date-”
“We never had a date. Look, it was nice to meet you, but there’s
nothing going on between us. We aren’t dating.”
I scratched the back of my neck, not sure why she was denying
what I saw clear as day. “Okay, I can see how you would think that there’s
nothing between us. I mean, high intensity situations cause stress on new
“We’re not in a relationship.”
“But we could be,” I grinned. “See, I think you’re not really
giving me a chance here. We had a connection back in that coffee shop.”
“What we had was some banter before I found out that you murder
people for a living!”
I shook my head slightly. “See, that’s not entirely accurate.
First, I told you that I worked in security, and I even told you that sometimes
I took out the bad guys. I never lied about that. And second, I never ever
murder anyone. I strategically take out people that should otherwise be dead or
imprisoned because they’re really bad people.”
She stared at me dumbfounded and I grinned, thinking I had gotten
through to her. “I don’t believe it.”
“You’re starting to come around, am I right?”
“Are you really this…obtuse?”
“Okay, I resent that. I’m not stupid. I’ll admit, there are some
times that I can be a little…oblivious and it’s gotten me into trouble, but I
know exactly what happened in that coffee shop and you do too. You can’t deny
that we had something.”
“Yes, I can. We didn’t have anything in the coffee shop. See? I
just denied it.”
“I object your denial,” I said firmly.
“What? You can’t just…ugh!”
“You’re so cute when you get flustered. I could just pick you up
and carry you around in my pocket all the time.”
She glared at me and stomped past me to her car.
“So, should I pick you up tonight?”
“No!” She spun around, putting her hands on her hips as she
stared me down. “I don’t want to go out tonight. In fact, I don’t want to see
you ever again!”
She got into her car and slammed the door. I went over and
knocked on her window. “Seven?”
She threw her car in reverse and squealed out of the parking lot. “Hey, this is a twenty mile an hour zone!” I shouted.
